Scones

Tegral Scone from Puratos has made it possible for every bakery in the world to make the original British scone. It is made out of carefully selected British ingredients, a traditional Scottish recipe is used, which is made in our UK-based facilities. Tegral Scone is available in both a plain and wholemeal variety. Just add water to the mix, mix shortly, pin out, cut, eggwash and bake. This week : Tegral Scone Plain.

Method :

Mix on first speed for 30 seconds.
Scrape down and mix on second speed for 30 seconds for the Sones and 60 seconds for the wholemeal Sones.
Add fruit or chocolate if required and mix until clear.
Pin out to required thickness (approximately 2 cm ¾ or 1 inch).
Cut as desired.
Allow 20 minutes as rest before baking.
Egg wash.

Baking guide :

Oven temperature : 210 to 230°C / 410 to 446°F
Baking time : 9 to 12 minutes.
